I Want to be a Good Coach
This is something I have heard my students saying a lot lately.
They question whether or not they are “good” coaches.
I was trying to remember if I felt this way when I was a new coach.
And here is what I realized…
I didn't think in terms of myself when I first started coaching. True Story.
I was obsessed with helping people.
Instead of : Am I a good coach?
My question was: Is there anything I know as a coach that will help this person?
My answer was always yes.
It wasn't about me.
It was about my client.
I wasn't always a good coach.
I didn't always help my clients.
But I knew that what I knew could.
And that was all I needed to know.
